Yoga for Improving your Flexibility - Saturday 5th February 2011
Stressful modern lifestyles often mean our bodies, minds and spirits are neglected, resulting in poor posture, a negative self image, sluggish metabolism and a mind which is whirling with negative thoughts. Yoga postures stretch, extend, and flex the spine, while exercising muscles and joints, keeping the body strong and supple and improving posture. Overall, the postures release stiffness and tension, help to reestablish the inner balance of the spine, renew energy and restore health. Some postures provide the added benefit of being weight-bearing which helps sustain bone mass (very important for women). Relaxation and breathing exercises produce stability and reduce stress and put you in touch with your inner strength
The workshop will include the following:-
- An Introduction to Movement which will make your spine more flexibility
- Anti-Aging postures and breathing techniques
- Techniques to remove tension from the body
- Short workouts which can be performed in the Morning to start the day
positively
- Short workouts to encourage flexibility when you have been sitting all
day
- Breathing techniques to encourage a more energised body
- Immediate ways to improve your posture
- Learn more about the spine and encouraging the free flow of energy
- Practical everyday Flexing
After this workshop you will feel more flexible, have the knowledge to work at improving your posture daily. Have a serious of postures and breathing techniques to help you start to feel younger, feel more flexible and have a better self image. Finding just how flexible you can be is an excellent starting point..
